ULS Celebrates Its 19th University Day

The University of La Salette Administration, in coordination with the Department of Student Services and Affairs and the Student Executive Council, organized the celebration of the institution’s 19th year as a University on June 23, 2017.  The University of La Salette Administration, in coordination with the Department of Student Services and Affairs and the Student Executive Council, organized the celebration of the institution’s 19th year as a University on June 23, 2017. 

A band exhibition signaled the inception of the string of activities and followed by the flag raising ceremony. The University President, Rev. Fr. Franklin G. Picio, MS, Ph.D. delivered a message and presided the Eucharistic Celebration. After that, the Salettinians watched an audio-visual presentation showing the history of the university. The presentation of top administration, college deans, and office heads took place after, as well as the oath taking of the newly elected SEC officers, college governors, and chairpersons.

To unleash the Salettinians’ talent and creativity, the school conducted a search for the Best in Office Design for the different colleges and Best in Bulletin Board Design for the councils and sub-organizations. The panel of judges checked the entries at noon.

In the afternoon, the Salettinians celebrated the Panagtignay 2017 or the Acquaintance Party in their own colleges. It consisted of Dean’s welcome address, presentation of faculty and staff and newly elected council officers, and interactive activities.
