On June 24, 2017, the University of La Salette, Inc. held its orientation program for new students accompanied by their parents in the school’s Audio and Visual Room Ground Floor of Miraculous Medal Building. The activity aims to acquaint the school community with not only the school itself but also its facilities, departments, and services. It was headed by the Human Development Center (HDC) and the Office of Student Services and Affairs (OSSA). Marjorie S. Magbitang, MPA, Dean, OSSA provided the opening remarks.

A discussion about the mission, vision, objectives, and core values made the first move in introducing the school departments and services. The orientation revolved on academic matters, financial concerns or school fees, student discipline, library services, health services, safety and security, laboratory services and student services that were discussed by their corresponding office heads. Human Development Center Directress, Rosalia V. Delos Santos, RGC said that through this program, student’s awareness can be heightened. Moreover, a re-orientation for old students was also conducted in three different clusters for the different departments on June 30, July 14 and 19, 2017 at the New Gymnasium that was well-attended by the students. “The orientation is an opportunity for the students to be really oriented with the programs and services of the university and to be reminded of certain policies, regulations, and processes related to their academic and non-academic,” Dean Magbitang said.
